...She began to dance around - woo!

Erica is really loving Christmas this year! She loves all the snowmen around the house and surprised me by pointing to Santa and saying his name! She's a smart cookie - amazes us every day! Here's one thing she did not get from Mom - Erica was sitting on the kitchen floor while I was making dinner and grabbed a cookbook to "read" to her snowman. Upon closer inspection, I realized she was looking at a recipe for lutefisk! We'll let her be the one to carry on that Field Family tradition!

Erica got this snowman from my cousin, Danny. She loves this thing and has learned to "dance around!" Enjoy the video!

Pumpkins & Pigtails

We took Erica to the pumpkin patch again this year! Last year we were able to wear light jackets or sweaters - not this year! Erica didn't mind being bundled up and she had a lot of fun running around and looking at all the pumpkins!
I'm also excited because I was finally able to get Erica's hair in pigtails! I actually could only get the back up -- the sides and front are still too short. She sure was cute though!
Baby #2 is doing well. I'm feeling some movement, so everything seems more real now! I have an appointment next week and then will have an ultrasound two weeks after that....we're still not sure if we're going to find out the sex of the baby or not. We're sure excited though!
Erica just had her 18 month appointment. She is 25 pounds 11 ounces and about 29" long. Our girl is getting big! She's learning more animal noises (her fish face is adorable!) and when we ask "Where's mommy's baby" she points to her stomach! Erica is also giving a lot of hugs and kisses and is so much fun!

Erica's BIG news

You may have already heard, but Erica has some news to share:Yup, it's true! Our little Erica is going to be the big sister! Baby2 is due April 5. We're wondering if we'll have birthday twins since Erica's birthday is April 4. She was two weeks early though, so I suppose a March baby is possible. We're pretty excited, although I have to admit there's some nervousness too - especially since Erica's getting busier and busier! I'm feeling fine so far - just tired. Erica loves to play with her babies, so I'm sure she'll be a terrific big sister. Now we have another one to keep you updated on!

Giggles, Potatoes, Salmon and Paul

Brian can always get the big giggles out of Erica. It is just the best sound in the world and always makes us smile!

Watching the Potato Days parade with Dad, August 2008

Watching the Potato Days parade with Dad one year later Brian went salmon fishing on Lake Michigan as a "business trip." He had a lot of fun and brought a lot of fish home!
Erica visited Paul Bunyan in Bemidji. It will be fun to see how close she comes to catching up with Paul in the years ahead.

Here is my new favorite picture of Erica. She is in Minnewaukan at Great Grandma and Grandpa's farm (and lake!)

Queen of Cuteness

Here are some really cute pictures of Erica (aren't they all though?!). I found a Knights Castle water slide/pool thing for super cheap and Erica finally got to try it out today. She had a fun time on it - maybe walking around and bouncing on it more than actually being in the water. I've also been forgetting to add these cute pictures of Erica feeding her baby.

Erica clearly says "baby" when she sees a real baby or a doll. I'm not sure how she learned that word since she's still the youngest at daycare. Other words she says are: puppy, mama, dad, papa, no, hi, bye, choo-choo, more (mo), deer (dee), Jill (ji) and cheese (chee - when getting her picture taken). She also can make the noises for a puppy (pants like a dog), kitty (ma-ow), duck (kak kak), lion (holds hands up and says 'rrr') and gorilla (puts hands in armpits and says 'oo ooo').

She is just getting cuter and cuter every day! Enjoy the pictures and video!

Just working on a new hair-do. I think bananas squish nicely in there!
Look at those adorable rolls!

Two videos for you - you will need to turn your computer screen for the 2nd video :)

I forgot a couple of pictures! Since I don't seem to update regularly, I thought I'd just post them right now.

Here's Erica relaxing on her very own lawn chair...

Playing with Great Grandpa Johnson

Supporting Dad at the Legion baseball games

Loving spaghetti
Trying to be Aunt Jill. Erica was "adjusting" Brian's neck tonight. Sorry for the blurry photo - my camera phone was closer and I didn't want to miss the shot!

Busy times!

Erica has been busy! She's officially a walker now. She walks all around the house and points to the things we're supposed to get down - books, bananas, Captain Crunch.... she's a busy girl!

We spent the 4th of July in Bemidji. I had a goal of running in the 2 mile race they have. I convinced Brian to go with and we had our first family run!
The Clay County Fair is in Barnesville. They had Daisy May the (fake) cow for people to milk. Erica loved this and really got the hang of it. I'm guessing she'll be asking for a cow rather than a pony when she gets older!
Here's a video of Erica and Brian on a train ride. It was the only Erica-sized ride at the fair. She didn't seem too impressed so we used the rest of the tickets and went on big-kid rides while Grandma and Erica watched.

I took Erica on a quick trip to the cities to visit some friends. While we were there, we were able to stop and see Jared and Christina's new place. Erica had a lot of fun playing with Glenn!
Erica likes to find her clothes and try to put them on herself. Here she is trying to put on her outfit...
And here she is all proud when she finally got it on!

We're sorry that we haven't updated the blog - I've been on a very important phone call!

Erica's newest funny face - she does this all the time now!
How we found Erica napping - head under her blankets and tooshie in the air
We can't turn our back for one second. I heard a 'crunch' while making dinner and found this...
Erica in a tunnel at a Dinosaur Playland - her new favorite place!
Our little Beach Bum
First time in the lake - Erica loves her new floatie toy!
Erica and Daddy on Father's Day

A little video. Erica's already trying to pull one over on Mom and Dad!

Sorry!

I know I need to update the blog, but I can't find my camera cord! I have cute pictures to share, but they're all on my camera. Until I find the cord, they're going to have to stay there. Sorry! Erica is doing some fun new things though. She walked five steps! She loves shoes (gets that from her mom). She will grab a shoe and then hold out her foot so I can put it on - even if she's already wearing footed pjs! She's said some words too! She said "puppy" when looking at a cat and she says "bear" when she sees Brian's bear head in the basement. It's fun to see how quickly these changes are coming!

I promise I'll post pictures as soon as I can!

Erica's New Wheels

Grandma and Grandpa H. surprised Erica with a brand new car. She's having a lot of fun with it and I got some cute pictures of her, so thought I'd share.

Already a very cautious driver. She takes her new privileges seriously.

Beep Beep!
Anyone want to go for a spin?
