Christmas, crafting and VIKES!

As usual, I have no good reason for not updating the blog often. I suppose I do have a couple of more months to somehow blame 'pregnancy brain' on it...but that's probably not a believable excuse. So to make up for it, I'll try to post a bunch of pictures.

Erica had a ton of fun at Christmas. This year she got to bake Christmas cookies with mom and dad. She enjoyed every part of it - mixing, watching the oven and TASTING! She loved opening gifts and seeing what was under all that shiny paper. The only problem was that she'd get so excited about one gift, she wouldn't want to put it down to open another! We spent Christmas Eve night and Christmas Day with the Field family. We had our family Christmas on Christmas Day morning. The next day was spent with the Hansen family (including Erica's future auntie Christina!). Erica must have been a good girl - Santa was sure nice to her!

All tuckered out after a busy few days!

I hear you're supposed to get in a "nesting" mode sometime before a baby is going to be born. I think it's hit me, but not in the most practical way. Instead of organizing drawers and cleaning out freezers, etc - I've started crafting. I decided it would be fun to make Erica a pillow case. Then I started thinking about if this baby is a boy - the poor guy won't have anything to wear! So I made some onesies. Now I need to get a sewing machine so I can attempt the other projects rolling around in my brain....a crib sheet....ring sling....nursing cover....pillowcase dress....the list goes on and on while my house gets messier and messier!Erica's learning early that she needs to be a Viking fan in this house! She enjoys watching and even points and says "football" everytime a game is on! Dad is teaching her well!
