Summertime!

The summer has just flown by! We've had a great time and have been keeping busy. Erica goes to daycare one day each week so she can play with her friends and I can have a "catch up" day. We also go to the library every Friday morning for story time. The picture below shows Erica's favorite thing to do at the library:
She loves to sit at the computer and put the headphones on. I think she's trying to be like Grandma Diane! We also went to many baseball games this summer. We're disappointed that the season is over, but Erica and Grady sure had fun while it lasted! Grady has many baseball outfits and has been Daddy's biggest fan this summer:
Many weekends have been spent at the lake in Bemidji. Erica loves being outside and has really enjoyed her time there this year. Grady's been a pretty good sport about it all! Next year he'll enjoy the lake a bit more :)

One evening we took a little trip to Wahpeton to see the zoo. Erica had a great time seeing all the animals. This bear seems to be pretty fond of little redheads:Grady still sleeps a lot, but his awake times are full of smiles and squeals. His smiles are quick to come and brighten the mood of anyone around him. He saves his biggest smiles for Erica - he sure loves playing with her!
Bathtime is usually fun for Grady. Erica likes to be my helper - good thing because she can help me get good tub pictures! I often only get screams and tears from Grady if it's just us!
Grady has taken after his big sister and is also a thumb sucker. I think it's adorable!
We saw Erica trying to be like Grandma Diane...here she is trying to be like Papa Howard. I think we have a future Harley Girl!
We had a fun visit from Great Grandma and Grandpa Johnson. It was such a great time - what lucky kids we have...loved by so many people!
Our big "vacation" this summer was to St. Michael for K.C. and Amanda's wedding. They are great friends of ours and are also Grady's Godparents. We finally got a picture with all of our eyes open! We hope you've enjoyed your summer as much as we've been enjoying ours! Next on our list is to try to potty-train Erica. It would be great if that happened before I went back to work, but I have a feeling it's just wishful thinking. We'll keep you updated!
